Do you have experienced of working with children or young adults between the ages on 5 and 16, in a prison, secure unit, specialist school or care environment? Axcis Education is recruiting for energetic and resilient Teaching Assistants to work in a Pupil Referral Unit in Cheltenham. This school is part of a specialist multi-academy organisation that focus on delivering high standards of education to pupils with Challenging Behaviour & Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. These pupils have been excluded from mainstream education and require consistent support and engagement within a learning environment. Suitable candidates should possess: A recent / current enhanced DBS certificate Experience of working within safeguarding for children A perceptive and tenacious approach to building relationships and managing challenging behaviour with children. Compassion and understanding of the support required for SEND children. The role is a Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 4.30 role - term time only. The daily pay rate is between £70 and £80 and this role could lead to a permanent role. This is a temporary position.
