Axcis Education are seeking a teacher for a maternity cover starting in October 2025, for a years contract. The school are looking for a hard working and confident teacher, who is happy to deliver biology, chemistry and physics to KS3/4 students. The school is based centrally in the Wigan area and the role is full time, starting in October 2025. The school are looking for a candidate who can commit to the full year and they must be happy to fully immerse themselves in the role, which will include planning, marking and delivering science. The role is long term, a 12 month contract to cover an upcoming maternity, however, there may be the possibility for a permanent contract after the initial 12 months. The role is full time and school hours are 830am - 330pm Monday - Friday. The role will require you to deliver engaging lessons to KS3/4 students and manage behaviour effectively. The behaviour in school is generally good and the school is Ofsted judged as a "good" school. The candidate must be a qualified teacher with QTS and ECT's will be considered for this role. The candidate will ideally have some SEND experience too and the candidate must be available full time and willing to commit to a 12 month contract.
