We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational team in the heart of Wandsworth, London. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting the educational and emotional development of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the lead teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
• Support individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher, adapting support strategies as needed.
• Help maintain a well-organized, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to thrive.
• Facilitate learning through creative and interactive activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom management techniques.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as lunch and recess.
• Contribute to the school's ethos and community through active participation in school events and activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• A patient, encouraging approach, and the ability to engage students positively in learning.
• A current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
