Whether you are a graduate or newly qualified teacher seeking your first role, or an experienced teacher looking for a new classroom based position or school leadership job, Axcis would love to help you.

A large proportion of our teaching jobs are in special schools, units and alternative provisions, but we also have teaching positions working with small groups of pupils with more moderate types of special needs in mainstream settings. Our clients provide an education  for young people with a variety of special needs, including PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties), SLD (severe learning difficulties), ASD (autistic spectrum disorder), SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) issues and many others.

Although we are a dedicated special needs teaching agency and welcome candidates with previous special educational needs experience or qualifications, we also acknowledge that a huge part of working successfully within the special needs sector is related to finding the “right fit” personality-wise. If you are a qualified teacher with an interest in working with special needs but no formal experience or SEND qualification, please either register on our website (it's free and takes just a few minutes) or contact us and we will put you in touch with a consultant who will be happy to offer you advice on this matter. We offer training and support across wide-ranging specialist areas and would love to work with you in this most rewarding of careers.

Please note that in order for us to be able to assist you in finding work as a teacher in the UK you will need to hold a UK recognised teaching qualification and the right to work here. You will also need to be able to meet our stringent safeguarding requirements – get in touch to find out more.
