Position: ADHD Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth, London Pay: Paid to scale Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, Full time Start date: Monday 1st September Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ADHD Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers to provide tailored support and create an inclusive learning environment for students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) specifically catered to the needs of students with ADHD. • Employ specialized strategies to maintain students' focus and engagement during classroom activities. • Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to organize tasks, manage their time efficiently, and develop self-regulation skills. • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their academic and personal development while supporting their social and emotional needs. • Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and relevant professionals to monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary. • Participate in training and professional development opportunities focused on the latest ADHD educational practices.
