Job Title: Teaching Assistant SEND experienced Required in Watford
Axcis are pleased to be working with a mainstream school in Watford who are looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant (TA) with ASD experience .This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and creative (TA). The school has a strong team of permanent staff who can support agency supply. With a very structured and disciplined learning environment, the school is seeking an experienced SEND TA to support a student in year 2 with profound Autism. It is essential for the appointed candidate to have the ability to build positive relationships which help to break down barriers, build self-esteem and challenge disaffection. This child is unable to communicate verbally so if you have any experience with Makaton or Speech and Language, this job might be what you are looking for. To be considered for this SEND teaching assistant (TA) job, you must have had some prior experience of working with children with Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You must have an understanding of working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities and have a real desire to make a difference.
