Job Title: Teaching Assistant - ASC/ Complex Needs - EYFS/ KS1 - Manchester
JOB LOCATION:
Manchester
Axcis Education is delighted to be working with a primary school based in the south-central area of Manchester that is looking for a teaching assistant to join their team from October 2019 for 1 term. The ideal candidate will have experience working 1:1 with EYFS, KS1 and KS2 pupils with ASC, challenging behaviour and SpLD. Experience using de-escalation techniques to manage behaviour is an essential aspect of this role. A Team Teach qualification is desirable, though not essential; as is an understanding of PECS. This 'good' primary school is based in south-central Manchester and has strong senior leaders that have helped create a united team of leaders, staff and governors. There is a positive atmosphere throughout the school where children feel safe in their learning environment. The area of the school is very commutable from the majority of Greater Manchester and Cheshire - on both public transport and by car. This role is full-time and will begin in October. It would be for an initial 1 term with a chance of being extended beyond. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Thomas Faithwaite at Axcis Education on 0161 507 9397.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
