Childrens Residential - Support Worker/Teaching Assistant - Glossop - Immediate Start Axcis Education are operating on behalf of a wonderful and caring Residential School and Care Home for boys aged between 11-17, who have very complex needs, including SEMH and Challenging Behaviour. We are looking for someone who can cover the days shifts at the residential premises 8am - 5pm and/or 5pm - 11pm. Some sleeps will be required if youre willing: 11pm - 8am. If you have experience of being a Teaching Assistant to boys in a secondary school who have SEMH and display challenging behaviour/ODD/PDA then we would also love to hear from you!! To qualify for this KEY WORKER ROLE you MUST have: - DBS on the update service - Experience of working in a residential unit for teenage boys - Be able to drive (not mandatory but would be preferable) - Have experience of supporting adults/children who display challenging behaviour - MUST be able to commit to the work shift patterns agreed - Must be self isolating, have no symptoms of, and have not come into contact with anyone who has displayed symptoms of Covid19. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open.
