JOB LOCATION:

Axcis are currently recruiting for careers support workers to work with students on a project with learning difficulties in Bath. The majority of the students have autistic spectrum conditions and struggle with changes in routine. The students are aged 17-19 years old and the project aims to give them skills, experience, knowledge and confidence to gain employment. The pupils learn a variety of jobs and the course includes the ASDAN certificate in Employability level 2. The project is based in a hospital in Bath and the pupils work in various departments across the hospital. The students are taught valuable skills such as interview techniques and writing CVs. Developed originally in the USA, this project has been extremely successful with over 60% of students who've graduated now in paid employment. There is a large and modern gym, a well equipped playground and a sensory room on site. Pay rates are great and we pay every week, a week in arrears. To work for us you will need to come in for a one hour registration meeting, you will need a valid DBS on the update service and a minimum of two references. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Charise Clarke at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
