Are you looking for a job to start ASAP that will run until the end of this academic year? Are you a TA with 1 to 1 experience of supporting a child with ASD? Are you located near St Helens? Axcis Education Recruitment is exclusively working on behalf of a school in the St Helens area that are looking to appoint a specialist 1 to 1 ASD TA to support a boy in KS4. The school has the most modern facilities and resources available to ensure that their students have the best learning experience available. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working on a 1 to 1 basis with a child of a similar age and gender that has autism. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be trained to use Makaton or PECS as a means to support this child that has difficulties with communication and speech. If you have relevant experience but have not worked in a school setting before then we would still recommend that you send across your CV ASAP. The ideal candidate will have: - Prior experience supporting a child in KS4 with ASD on a 1 to 1 basis - Experience with Makaton or PECS - The ability to remain calm under pressure This is a temporary position.
