Axcis Education work closely alongside an all aged SEND school in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. This school offers an education to students aged between 3-19 years with the following needs:
- Communication & Interaction
- Cognition & Learning
- Social, Emotional Mental Health
- Sensory and/or physical needs
They are currently recruiting for a SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) Learning Support Assistant, to support within the school. To be able to fulfill this role you must be adaptable as they may move you into different classrooms, depending on what they need on the day.
This is a full-time role on a small group and 1:1 basis on an ongoing basis for the 2024/25 academic year. Being able to work independently and as part of a team is key, to be able to take direction from the teacher and implement planning accurately and effectively.
Job details:
• Whole class support but working on a 1:1 or small group basis
• All-round support including personal care, sensory needs and communication (PECS)
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Full time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
• Ongoing basis for the 2024/25
• Start date - September 2024
Requirements:
• Experience in working on a one to one basis – Essential
• Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs – Essential
• Willingness to adapt to each classroom - Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
The daily rate of pay for a SEND Teaching Assistant is £100.59 to £105.29.
