We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Secondary Teacher to join our dynamic team in an inclusive and supportive educational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized teaching and support to secondary-aged students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, delivering, and adapting curriculum materials to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
• Employing a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the students.
• Establishing and maintaining standards of student behaviour needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
• Evaluating students' academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records, and preparing progress reports.
• Identifying pupil needs and collaborating with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Communicating with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and to determine priorities for their children and their resource needs.
Qualifications:
• A recognized teaching qualification and eligibility to teach in the designated location.
• Proven experience in teaching secondary-aged students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
• Deep knowledge of SEND teaching strategies and a creative approach to delivering the curriculum.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in SEND education.
