SEND Teaching Assistant, Autism, Gloucestershire - Gloucestershire - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Looking for your next challenge in SEND? Axcis are currently recruiting for a 1-1 TA for a KS2 pupil with very high functioning Autism in an all-through school in central Gloucestershire.
The role is full time five days a week and the hours are 8:30-4.00pm on an ongoing basis to start on September 2nd 2019.
The pupil is in year 6 and you will be supporting them with their studies.
For this role you will need to be highly skilled at building relationships with delicate pupils and experience f working with anxiety and communication issue. Previous experience working with children with high functioning Autism or with SEMH and challenging behaviours would be advantageous. The school is a mainstream academy and there is excellent potential for progression in this school, with many staff being taken onto permanent contracts after a short period of supply work.
The school has a strong team of permanent staff who can support agency supply. There is a strong focus on pastoral care and the children's mental health is important to the school. You must have effective classroom management skills to be considered for this role.
Those with Team Teach training would be at an advantage.

This is role is full-time hours on an ongoing basis so only suitable for candidate's that can commit themselves to full-time, term time hours on an ongoing basis from September 2nd 2019. The daily pay rate is between £70 and £80 per day.
