Primary SEND Keyworker required - Cheshire East
Have you got extensive experience in working with Primary aged children, 4-11 years old, and with young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND)?
We are recruiting for a keyworker for a full time and long term role that could turn permanent for the right person.
The young people that you will be supporting will be aged 4 to 11. You would be required to provide advice and information to the families of children with SEND and their professional network to ensure the inclusion of the child in the community, to provide short term coordination and intervention aimed at getting a child with complex needs in to an appropriate community resource or setting.
You will also provide consultation, support and challenge to providers to build capacity to meet the needs of children at primary age with SEND within their services.
You would liaise closely with other stakeholders and professionals including Inclusion Support Workers, SENCos, Inclusion Team members, Social Workers, LA workers etc.
You will need:
- A clear understanding of child development at primary level.
- An in-depth experience of supporting children and families with a range of SEND.
- To be able to drive to different locations in the local authority.
