Full Time Autism Teaching Assistant- Melksham - Wiltshire - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Are you an experienced TA in Autism? Axcis want to hear from you! Axcis have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well respected specialist school in Melksham working with secondary aged children with Autism in their Autism base.
Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, this fantastic specialist school uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. The school is small but well resourced and has a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. The school has a very supportive atmosphere and many of our staff enjoy working there.
The role starts in September and is five days a week, full time and will go on till the end of term at least. The position is general in-class support - you will need to have previous experience of working with children with autism. Routines are important to the children; they have very limited language and they communicate using Makaton. You will be also be expected to do some personal care.
If you are a caring, friendly and patient individual then this could be just the kind of role you're looking for. The ideal candidate will be an experienced SEND teaching assistant who has worked with children with autism before in a special needs environment.
