If you are trained to work with those with Epilepsy and have experience in a social care background then we want to hear from you today!
Axcis Education are working with a group of special needs care settings that specialise in working with adults with disorders such as autism and epilepsy. Many of their sites are in places such as Westbury, Trowbridge and Swindon. The homes themselves are all on the small and personal side with the maximum amount of service users in any one home to be only 8. We are looking for people to fulfill a range of different shifts on a week by week basis and because it's flexible, you can increase or decrease your hours as and when you like!
Due to the nature of the people that live in these homes we are looking for workers who are compassionate, patient and in many cases just happy to listen and show an interest in what they want to tell you. There may be occasions of challenging behaviour from some service users, but this is not a common occurance and may only happen due to the current restrictions placed upon them due to the national health crisis.
As the homes are dotted around Wiltshire, we are ideally looking for someone who is able to drive.
Ideally we need people who;
- Have trained in how to work with those with epilepsy
- Have plenty of experience in working with special needs such as autism and challenging behaviour
- Are flexible in their working hours and happy to also work night shifts as and when needed
- Have a calm and approachable personality and see those with special needs as individuals as well
- Hold a health and social care qualification, ideally level 3
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, if you do not have one, we can help you apply for this
This is a temporary position.
If you are interested, then please contact Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.
This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.
Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.
