Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant, Wednesbury (full-time & part-time required)
We are looking to appoint 3 SEND Teaching Assistants for full-time and 2- or 3-day roles for a primary setting in Wednesbury. These positions will be working in an amazing fit for purpose setting, where you will be supporting young students who are severely autistic, therefore previous experience working with children or young adults who are autistic is mandatory to be considered.
You will be supported throughout your time in school from ourselves at Axcis and the setting themselves, who are very inclusive and have a huge family feel and very welcoming presence, which will help you to settle and enable positive learning & development outcomes for all students.
Through working at Axcis Education, the UK’s leading SEND specialist supply agency, you will be provided with access to free SEND specialist CPD training which has been created with the National College. This will offer you free unlimited, tailor-made training packages to enable you to best support our young people whilst in-role with us.
In this role, you will be working week-days only on the hours of 08:30 until 15:25. This will be term-time only. These positions are long-term with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate once settled, which the setting is keen to do – investing in their staffing and enabling continuity for their students.
- You will be paid on a weekly basis, based on a daily rate starting from £95.29 p/d, dependent on experience and qualifications.
- In-school experience would be highly beneficial, however successful candidates in-school have also come from other backgrounds with experience such as residential or care support.
If you feel this could enable you to make a difference and be the right next step in your career, please apply today and your local consultant, Tom, will be in touch with more information and to discuss the setting in more detail.
