Location: Selly Oak (Birmingham)
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN), and challenging behaviour at a specialist setting in Selly Oak.
The Role:
You will:
• Provide targeted support for speech, language, and communication.
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Use visual resources, structured timetables, and communication aids.
• Work closely with SALTs and SENCOs to deliver therapy strategies.
• Encourage social interaction and independence skills.
About You:
• Experience supporting SLD, speech and language, or behaviour needs.
• Strong communicator with patience and creativity.
• Confident with de-escalation and proactive strategies.
• Positive role model with a team-focused approach.
