Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Oldbury

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: From £89 per day (PAYE)

We’re currently working with a warm and welcoming primary school in Oldbury that is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role, working with children aged 4 to 11 years old, providing vital support to pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
Whether you’re working 1:1 or with a small group, you’ll be playing a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Role Details:
• Providing tailored support to children with additional needs, either 1:1 or in small groups.
• Helping pupils engage with learning activities, develop life skills, and build confidence.
• Supporting communication, sensory processing, and emotional regulation.
• Working closely with class teachers and the school’s SEN team to ensure each child’s needs are met.
• Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism and learning difficulties.
• A patient, resilient, and caring approach to supporting children with complex needs.
• The ability to work collaboratively with staff and follow individual support plans.
• A genuine commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, full-time hours.
