Axcis are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic specialist SEND school located in West Drayton. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Teacher to join a well-established and supportive team that is committed to making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs. This full-time, long-term role will begin in September 2025, with trials available immediately and a strong possibility of becoming a permanent position.
The school caters to 106 pupils, all of whom have EHCPs and are formally diagnosed with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. Many of the students also have ADHD, ASD, and other associated conditions. Class sizes are kept small (around 8 pupils per class), creating a nurturing and focused learning environment. The only exception is Year 6, which has additional support and a specific focus on preparing for SATs.
The ideal candidate will have:
-UK classroom teaching experience (essential)
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred but not essential)
-A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
-A strong background in SEND, with particular experience supporting students with SEMH, ADHD, and ASD
-Proven strategies for managing challenging behaviour in a positive, structured, and consistent way
-The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
-A calm, resilient, and adaptable approach to working in high-need environments
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
