We are looking to employ science teachers who can cover short and long term teaching assignments in mainstream and special needs schools. If you are looking for flexible ad-hoc work or a long term position in the Wiltshire area contact Axcis and have a chat, we would love to hear from you!
If you have experience teaching in special needs schools, PRU's or even mainstream schools working with special needs pupils please get in touch. Our client relationships are of paramount importance to us and we pride ourselves on working closely to build long-term partnerships. This is reflected in the positive feedback we receive from schools about our consultants and the service they provide, as well as feedback on the candidates we place.
Ideal candidates will be available and ready to accept bookings in the mornings. You will also have pre-prepared work that you can take and deliver effectively in the classroom. Professionalism is a must and you need to treat every assignment as if it is a permanent role, injecting a sense of purpose into the classroom and helping the school to the best of your ability. We want you to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff and to ensure effective classroom management in line with schools behaviour policy. Qualities that will make you a good supply teacher: you need to be calm, professional and confident teaching within a specialist setting. Those with experience implementing EHC plans will be at an advantage.
Axcis can offer fantastic rates of pay and you will have a professional consultant who will be your personal point of contact throughout your time working for us. A lot of our consultants have experience working in alternative educational settings. We also provide access to regular training events and seminars with renowned SEND Professionals as well as working in partnership with NAS (National Autistic Society) and nasen (National Association of Special Educational Needs).
