Looking for your next challenge in SEND? I am looking for an experienced TA/LSA to work full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm. Axcis have a vacancy for a TA/LSA at a well respected special school in Sefton. This alternative provision caters for children from KS4 and the school has a "good" Ofsted rating and is well respected in the local community. This diverse and vibrant school has a supportive team and engaging curriculum, and people with experience of working in an alternative provision will have an advantage. In this role, you will be expected to provide support, both in and out of class. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young people. You will be required to work with small groups of secondary age pupils assisting them with their literacy and numeracy skills and keeping them on task. The school are seeking a person with a friendly, can-do attitude and must have a calm, patient nature as this can be at times quite a challenging environment. If you have previous experience of working with individuals with EBD needs and are available on a (full-time) long-term basis then get in touch or apply directly. This is a temporary position. If you are interested, then please contact Jaqueline Edwards at Axcis Education on 0151 448 2810 or email your cv directly to jacqueline@axcis.co.uk

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.
