Job Title: Teaching assistant
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience in ASD or PMLD to join our friendly and committed team at a Post-16 SEND College in Kingston. In this role, you will support the delivery of engaging, well-differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of our learners. Your contribution will be key to promoting student progress, continuity, and a high standard of learning, with a strong focus on fostering independence and preparing students for adulthood. You will be working with young people aged 16 to 18 in small class groups of 7 to 10 students. As part of your responsibilities, you will: Monitor, evaluate, and report on the quality of teaching, learning, and classroom management Line manage a team of Learning Support Assistants Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students Applicants should have (or be working towards) a Diploma in Education and Training (or equivalent), and possess recent experience of delivering Outstanding or Good teaching to students with special educational needs.
