Axcis are pleased to be working with a SEND school in Taunton who are looking to recruit an experienced secondary science SEND teacher. The role starts in September, is part time three days a week Monday-Wednesday 8:30-3:30pm.
The school has an excellent Ofsted rating and its popularity amongst parents, children and staff is clear. The school has excellent resources and provides a supportive environment to all staff. It has large grounds and the children are encouraged to learn about nature and attend the school's forest school.
For this position you will need to be an experienced science teacher with effective classroom management skills. You will need to be able to teach basic skills and if you can also teach other subjects that would be an added bonus. The school are looking for a secondary SEND teacher who is calm, professional and confident teaching within a specialist setting. Those with experience implementing EHC plans will be at an advantage. The successful candidate will have QTS and a PGCE be available to work immediately. There is excellent potential for teacher training in this school should you wish to progress your career further down the line. You will need to do a new DBS with us unless you have one on the update service.
