Axcis are working with a mainstream primary setting in Kingstanding, who require a 1-to-1 SEND teaching assistant for a new reception child who will be joining the school in September. The student requires 1-to-1 support are they currently have limited communication; their current setting has helped her communicate using Makaton as a communication tool. Experience with Makaton or PECS would be highly beneficial with a willingness to be flexible to help the child thrive. This role will be starting from 3rd September 2025 during term-time only, working Monday to Friday for the hours of 08:30 to 15:30. Whilst this role initially for the academic year, there is a chance for this to be extended or potentially moved to permanent in future for the right applicant. You will need full UK right to work and an enhanced DBS on the update service.
