Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Part-time minimum of 3 days per week)
Pay: From £89 per day
A friendly and inclusive primary school in West Bromwich is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team, with both full-time and part-time roles available.
This position involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence, and succeed within the primary school setting. You will play a key role in providing consistent, supportive care both in and out of the classroom.
Role Responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
• Encouraging engagement in lessons and supporting learning activities
• Assisting pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
• Working closely with teaching staff to adapt activities where needed
• Promoting a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs is essential
• Previous primary school experience is highly desirable but not required
• A patient, reliable, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
