Job Title: Learning Support Assistants / Teaching Assistants – Maths Specialism
Location: Hillingdon, London Contract: Possible Temp to Perm Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants / Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and specialist team within a co-educational Alternative Provision in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The school supports pupils aged 11–16 who are unable to attend mainstream education, many of whom have experienced, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion. This role is ideally suited to candidates with experience supporting secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with additional or complex needs. A background in Maths or numeracy support is highly desirable, along with a resilient, adaptable approach and a genuine desire to help young people succeed. Key Responsibilities: • Support the planning and delivery of Maths lessons by helping prepare resources and learning materials. • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them engage with learning and reach their academic targets. • Work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised strategies and interventions. • Contribute to a collaborative staff team, sharing best practices and supporting whole-school behaviour and learning strategies. • Participate actively in team meetings and discussions around student progress and support plans.
