We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team in the vibrant borough of Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the educational and developmental journey of our diverse cohort of students, providing tailored support to enhance their learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with a variety of educational needs.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning materials and activities.
- Monitor and track student progress, working closely with classroom teachers to adapt approaches as necessary.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting inclusion and a positive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in related meetings.
- Implement strategies to support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) under the guidance of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).
- Manage behaviour effectively through positive reinforcement and clear boundaries.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents/guardians when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role.
- A genuine passion for education and the well-being of children.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
