We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Complex Needs Primary Teacher to join our vibrant educational team in Sutton, Surrey. The successful candidate will possess a passion for fostering a positive learning environment and a commitment to support primary-aged students with complex needs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific requirements of each student.
- Employ specialized instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of children with various disabilities, ensuring equitable access to the curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team of professionals to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
- Manage and organize classroom resources effectively to create a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize assessment tools to evaluate student performance, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching techniques to promote continuous improvement.
- Foster social integration and personal development by encouraging positive interactions and social skills amongst students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Primary Education or equivalent, with a focus on Special Needs Education.
- Proven experience in teaching students with complex learning difficulties.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
