Job Title: Creative Arts Teacher – Primary PRU
Are you a passionate and inspiring Creative Arts teacher looking to make a real difference in a supportive, alternative primary setting? We are seeking a talented professional to join our Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), delivering engaging and imaginative arts education to pupils with additional needs. Location: Wallington, Surrey (SM6) Contract: Full-time, long-term Start Date: Monday 10th November About the Role: You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Creative Arts lessons across the primary age range, fostering creativity, confidence, and curiosity in all pupils. This role offers the opportunity to develop the arts curriculum in a PRU environment and contribute to school-wide creative initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Creative Arts lessons tailored to pupils with additional needs. Inspire and motivate pupils to explore visual arts, drama, music, and other creative disciplines. Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate the arts across the PRU curriculum. Contribute to school events, exhibitions, and performances. Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching Creative Arts in a primary setting, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A creative, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
