Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
Axcis Education are seeking a committed and dynamic Behaviour Support Worker to join a welcoming and well-supported mainstream secondary school in Greater Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with young people, particularly those who may struggle with behaviour in a classroom setting. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you’ll work 1:1 or in small groups with students who require extra support to stay focused and engaged in lessons. Your presence in the classroom will help reduce disruption and ease the workload of teachers, allowing for a more positive learning environment. A key part of your role will be building trust with students, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping them succeed both academically and socially. We’re looking for someone with: - Experience in a Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, or behaviour-focused role - Background working in either primary or secondary schools - Confidence in managing challenging behaviour calmly and effectively - The ability to work well within a team of teachers and support staff - A patient, energetic and proactive approach to helping students re-engage with their learning The school offers a supportive team environment, clear behaviour policies and strong leadership – all of which create a positive workplace for staff and students alike.
