JOB TITLE / ROLE:
Behaviour Support LSA - Yeovil - Somerset - Role: SEND TA Jobs
Axcis have a vacancy for a behaviour support teaching assistant at a fantastic secondary SEND school. The role starts in September and is full time three days a week from 8:30-3:30pm. The role will go at least till the end of the current term. You will be providing general in class support and will be supporting the teacher and working with small groups of up to seven children. The school has an outstanding Ofsted rating and is well respected in the local community. There is excellent potential for progression in the school, with many staff being taken onto permanent contracts after a short period of supply work.
For this position you will need to be an experienced behaviour support LSA with effective classroom management skills. You must have a calm nature and ability to de-escalate situations. Empathy and understanding are a must as many of the children have difficult home lives and this is their last chance to get an education. This is your chance to really make a difference in these children's lives. The right candidate will have experience of working with students who have SEMH needs and challenging behaviour and preferably will have Team Teach training. To work for us you will need to have a DBS on the update service otherwise you will have to get a new one.
At Axcis you will have a professional consultant who will be your personal point of contact throughout your time working for us. Axcis offers competitive rates of pay, a fantastic referral system (which pays up to £250 for referring your friends or family members to us) as well as useful SEND resources in our giveaways (see our Facebook page for more information on this!)
If you consider yourself to be an outstanding LSA with a special needs background and have worked with children with special educational needs and disabilities, then this could be the job for you. Don't delay - apply today for this excellent opportunity. If you don't have a CV ready, or haven't registered with Axcis yet, just give (name) a call on (number) to discuss this vacancy further and find out if you'd be suitable.
This is a temporary position.
