I currently require two Teaching Assistants to work in a Special Needs/Autisin school for immediate start
Axcis Recruitment is looking for Two experienced Specialist Autism Teaching assistants to join an excellent School based in Ealing. This 'outstanding' Ofsted rated School is looking for experienced Autism teaching assistants to continue the high level of standards already in place.
This is a same sex girl's school for children and young people with a primary diagnosis of autism. The school currently caters pupils between the ages of 11 and 16 years old.
Young people with every type of need are supported and the school is dedicated to ensure the best possible education for all who that attend. The school makes its best efforts to ensure that every child makes excellent progress and is ready to take their place in society.
Some key facts about this SEND at the School:
o Lunchtime drop in: The Learning Support Area is open during lunchtime every day for pupils to drop in and benefit from help with class work or homework. All pupils are welcome.
o SEN Book Club: for pupils to develop an interest in reading and to promote reading fluency.
o Tapestry Club and Knitting Club: For pupils from all year groups to relax, learn a new skill and chat.
o Touch typing : software is available to targeted pupils, who follow a 12 week course to reach a typing speed of at least 20 words per minute.
An experienced Autism special needs teaching assistant.
Energetic, enthusiastic and hard working
Experienced in and passionate about working with pupils who have autism. THis position does no require personal care.
Conscientious and innovative "Able to use your knowledge and skills to provide the best possible education for learners "Confident in dealing with children who may sometimes display challenging behaviours
Personal care is not required
