Salary: £89 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)

A mainstream college in Farnham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide in-class support for 16 to 18-year-old students from September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time only role (Monday to Friday), initially for one academic year.
About the Role:
You will work closely with teaching staff to support students in mainstream lessons, particularly those who are:
– Retaking core GCSE subjects such as English and Maths
– Learning English as an Additional Language (EAL) and needing additional language support
Your role will include:
– Providing in-class assistance to help students access the curriculum effectively
– Supporting differentiated learning and study strategies
– Encouraging independent learning and confidence-building
– Liaising with teachers to adapt materials and approaches to meet individual needs
– Helping monitor student progress and engagement
Applicants should have:
– Experience or interest in supporting 16-18 year olds in a learning environment
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
– The ability to work collaboratively within a team
– A relevant TA qualification or experience in further education (desirable)
