Location: Greenford, Ealing (Near Greenford Station) Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: Competitive Daily Rate (Based on Experience) Make a Lasting Impact Supporting a Child with SEN in a Mainstream Primary School Axcis Education is recruiting an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ADHD and Autism in a highly regarded mainstream primary school located near Greenford Station in Ealing. This is a full-time, term-long position starting in September, with the school ideally seeking a candidate who can commit for the entire academic year. For the right person, this role offers the potential for a permanent contract. About the Role You will be supporting a bright and energetic Year 2 student within the classroom, helping them engage in learning while managing attention and emotional regulation challenges. The role requires someone who can implement structure, build trust, and support both academic and emotional development. Key Responsibilities: -Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with ADHD and Autism, promoting focus and positive behaviour. -Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans. -Manage and respond to challenging behaviour with confidence, calmness, and clear boundaries. -Foster a supportive, nurturing environment that encourages independence and emotional wellbeing. -Communicate effectively with staff and parents to ensure consistency in approach and progress tracking. Candidate Requirements -Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). -Previous experience working with children with ADHD, Autism, and SEMH needs in a mainstream school setting. -Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive reinforcement strategies. -A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills. -Full-time availability from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. -Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school team.
