Job Description:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic educational team in the vibrant city of Salford. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students and assisting teachers in creating a stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities and lessons
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers
- Provide support to students with special educational needs and/or disabilities
- Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays
- Help maintain a well-organized, safe, and tidy classroom environment
- Monitor and support the students during class activities, lunchtimes, and breaks
- Help assess student performance through observation and record-keeping as directed by the teacher
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and discipline
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents when required
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and professional development sessions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or school administration
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3, Cache level 3, or equivalent qualification in childcare or education is desirable
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team
- Familiarity with the educational curriculum and classroom resources/tools
- A positive and patient approach to working with children
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
