Job Title: Teaching Assistant

The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a central role in supporting the pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work alongside our dedicated teaching staff to provide both academic and vocational assistance to our diverse student body. We are seeking passionate individuals who are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on young people's lives. Key Responsibilities - Assist teachers in preparing and setting up resources and learning materials. - Provide in-class support to students, adapting to their individual learning needs. - Encourage student participation and engagement in a variety of educational activities. - Support students with special educational needs (SEN) under the direction of the SENCO. - Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support for students requiring additional help. - Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate. - Uphold school policies, including those regarding safeguarding and health and safety. About You Our ideal Teaching Assistant is someone who: - Demonstrates the ability to use their initiative in a classroom setting. - Has a friendly and approachable demeanour, with an empathetic understanding of student needs. - Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Shows commitment to their own professional development and the willingness to learn new skills. - Has previous experience working with children or young adults (preferred, but not essential). - Is either educated to A-Level (or equivalent) or holds a relevant teaching assistant qualification.
