Job Title: Teaching Assistant, Special School, Bath
JOB LOCATION:

One of our partner schools is currently looking for a behavioural minded teaching assistant to join their team in Bath. The role would be working one to one with an individual student or working alongside the teacher with a small group of pupils. The class sizes overall are smaller than a mainstream classroom. The school supports pupils who have found the mainstream setting difficult and the pupils can exhibit challenging behaviours. The school is seeking a candidate that will not shy away from the challenging behaviours. The children do exhibit a great deal of social, emotional and mental health issues. To be considered for this role, the school would prefer a candidate with Team Teach training or a comparable qualification. This could be completed within the first couple months of employment for the successful and ideal candidate. Experience working with children especially those with additional behavioural needs is required. The school has a supportive, friendly staff that will provide a wonderful working environment. If you are interested, then please contact Charity Preen at Axcis Education on 0117 373 6127.

This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.

Please note: The details of this job are correct as of the start of the school closures. We anticipate that there will still be a need to fill this vacancy either on the expected timescale (as many of the schools we work with will remain open to support SEND/Keyworker children) or when schools re-open. We are therefore continuing to accept applications but please bear with us as there may be a delay on the listed start date due to the fact that the situation is continually evolving.

All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
