Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH Support
Are you currently working in care or support roles and thinking about making the move into education? We’re looking for a patient and caring professional to join a secondary school in Bolton that specialises in supporting students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You don’t need previous experience as a TA – if you have experience in care work, mental health services, residential support, or even drug rehabilitation or facilitation, your skills will be highly valued. This role is perfect for anyone who understands the challenges young people face and wants to help them overcome these barriers in a school setting. In this role, you’ll be working closely with students, supporting them 1:1 or in small groups. You’ll help them manage their behaviour and emotions, support them to stay focused in class, and provide a calm and encouraging presence. The school is welcoming and supportive, and you’ll receive training to help you build your skills as a Teaching Assistant. If you’re reliable, calm under pressure and passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives, this could be a great fit for you. You’ll be joining a friendly team who want to see every student succeed. If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply now and start your journey into education with us.
