About the Role The school is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team from April 2026. This is a full-time teaching role where you will: • Plan and deliver personalised and engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs • Support pupils with ASC and SEMH, using structured and nurturing teaching approaches • Create a calm, predictable, and inclusive classroom environment • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support • Adapt teaching strategies to suit a wide range of abilities and learning styles • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence • This role is well-suited to a qualified teacher who is passionate about SEND education and thrives in a supportive, specialist setting. About the Person To be considered for this role, you must have: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential • Proven SEND experience as a Teacher, particularly with ASC and SEMH • Confidence managing a range of needs and behaviours in a specialist setting • A flexible, patient, and compassionate teaching style • Strong classroom organisation and behaviour management skills • The ability to adapt lessons for pupils working below age-related expectations Experience using communication systems such as Makaton or PECS is desirable but not essential.
