Job Title: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Mainstream Primary School in Greenford, Ealing Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday | 08:30am – 3:30pm Group Teaching Assistant A welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Greenford, Ealing is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and passionate Teaching Assistant to provide group support for child with with ASD. There will be groups up to 5 children in a class. This is a rewarding full-time opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Autism, particularly pupils who require alternative communication methods and consistent behavioural support. The role would suit someone passionate about supporting children with SEND and looking to build a long-term career within education. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the child access learning, regulate emotions, and develop communication and social skills within a nurturing and inclusive school environment. You will support engaging teaching and learning for SEND pupils in small groups of up to 4–5 children. You will be provided with lesson plans and work closely alongside class teachers and additional Teaching Assistants who will support during lessons where required. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers or education professionals, as the school offers ongoing training opportunities such as Team Teach and hands-on experience delivering lessons and interventions to small SEND groups within a mainstream primary setting. The Role You will support the pupil throughout the school day, helping them remain engaged and focused during learning activities. The child is based in a dedicated classroom and has access to on-site sensory rooms to support their individual needs.
