Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
A specialist SEND school in Hungerford is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, with a daily pay rate of £92.63. The school supports pupils of all ages and primarily caters for children and young people with autism, alongside a range of additional complex needs.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom, helping to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs. Duties may include supporting students with learning activities, encouraging communication and social development, managing challenging behaviour and providing personal care where required.
Previous experience working within a SEND school is essential, although candidates with other relevant backgrounds such as care work, support work, residential care or youth work will also be considered. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, nurturing and passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
