In this role, you will be: • Working closely with children on the autism spectrum, supporting communication, social interaction and engagement in learning. • Assisting with visual timetables, sensory breaks and structured routines to ensure pupils feel calm and confident. • Supporting on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to build independence and self-esteem. • Collaborating with teachers, therapists and parents to deliver consistent strategies aligned to EHCPs. What we’re looking for: • Previous experience with autism, SEN or working with children in a school or care setting. • Calm, patient and empathetic approach with a positive outlook. • Willingness to learn strategies such as PECS, Makaton or other communication aids. • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff alike.
