Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Worcester
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday – Friday (Full time)
Salary: £89 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
Axcis Education are working with a small, independent special school in Worcester, dedicated to providing high-quality education for children aged 8 to 19 years. The school’s ethos is built around ensuring each student’s individual needs are met, helping them thrive academically and emotionally in a safe, supportive environment.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be integral to supporting students on their learning journeys. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive and tailored educational experience for each child.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and supporting classroom activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with additional needs.
• Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels safe.
• Communicate effectively with staff and parents to track student progress.
Key Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar SEND setting is desirable but not essential.
• A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive, flexible approach to supporting students.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willing to pay for a new one)
