Job Title: SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT
JOB LOCATION:
West Wickham
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school in the BR4 area. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about education and eager to contribute to the academic and personal growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Student Assistance: Provide individual or small group support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Resource Preparation: Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources to support teaching activities.
Supervision: Supervise students during break times, on school trips, and during other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Inclusive Education: Work closely with students who have special educational needs, contributing to an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Qualifications: A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, though a strong commitment to working with children is most important.
Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Adaptability and a proactive approach to challenges are key.
DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required.
