Job Title: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher Location: Wandsworth, London Salary: Paid to scale Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm We are looking for an inspirational and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive team within a well-respected educational setting in Wandsworth, London. The ideal candidate will have a positive and adaptable approach to teaching students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with various learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and other specific learning difficulties. - Utilize innovative and differentiated teaching methods to engage and inspire all students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development. - Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic and conducive learning environment. - Conduct assessments, monitor students' progress, and report developments to parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the students' education. - Participate in and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, sharing insights and strategies to support student achievement. - Maintain accurate records and ensure all teaching practices comply with school policies and legal requirements. Requirements: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification. - Proven experience teaching children with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting. - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - A commitment to continuing professional development and a passion for inclusive education. - DBS clearance and eligibility to work in the UK.
