A warm and inclusive SEND school in Sutton is seeking Lunchtime Support Assistants to join their dedicated team from September. This specialist setting supports students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical needs, ranging across both primary and secondary phases.
Whether you're looking for daily ad-hoc work or a longer-term, part-time role, this is a chance to be part of a rewarding and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist students during lunch breaks, supporting feeding, personal care, and supervision
• Work closely with permanent staff to ensure a calm and safe lunchtime experience
• Provide communication support using visual aids or AAC (where required)
• Support transitions between lunch and learning activities
Ideal Candidate:
• Empathetic, calm, and reliable
• Comfortable with personal care and supporting students with medical or mobility needs
• Previous experience in care, SEND, or education preferred but not essential
• Available for consistent hours or flexible day-to-day cover
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)
