Job Title: SEMH Primary Teacher
SEMH Primary Teacher
Start Date: October 2025
Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
A specialist SEND school in Slough is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Primary Teacher to join the team from October 2025. The school supports children with social, emotional and mental health needs, many of whom present with challenging behaviour, and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
The successful candidate will hold QTS and bring proven experience of working with children with SEMH needs. You will deliver creative and differentiated lessons, build strong relationships with pupils and use positive behaviour strategies to promote engagement and progress. Alongside teaching, you will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and senior leaders to develop individualised learning plans, track progress and provide consistent support across all aspects of school life.
This role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, show empathy and resilience and inspire pupils to achieve both academically and personally. In return, you will join a highly supportive team and receive opportunities for professional development.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching pupils with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour
• Strong classroom management skills with a nurturing and patient approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being
Salary: Dependent on experience
