Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Autism or SEND needs? Axcis is looking for caring, focused Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support in secondary schools across Oldham, helping students access learning, manage behaviour and build confidence. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to be part of a student’s progress – both academically and emotionally. ?? Role Highlights - 1:1 support for students with Autism, ADHD or additional needs - Build trust, structure and consistency in daily routines - Support classroom learning and encourage engagement - Communicate regularly with teaching staff to adapt support - Help students regulate behaviour and develop social skills ?? Ideal Candidates Will Have: - A nurturing, patient and resilient personality - Experience or interest in working with Autism or SEND - Strong communication and observation skills - DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) - Previous school or youth support experience is a plus ??
