Job Title: Graduate SEND Support Assistant
Graduate SEND Support Assistant Location: Thornbury, Bristol Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Daily Pay Rate: £89 Contract: Full-time Why Join Us? Join a brand-new, purpose-built provision for children and young people aged 2–19 with severe learning disabilities, Autism, and complex medical needs. The curriculum is holistic, sensory-led, and structured to promote independence and engagement through routine and play. On-site facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, woodland trails, a café, and a garden—designed to build life skills in a supportive, nurturing environment. The site is also fully accessible and eco-conscious, with hoists, ramps, adaptable classrooms, and outdoor learning zones. About the Role: • Deliver 1:1 and small-group support across academic, emotional, social, and sensory needs • Facilitate creative, outdoor, and therapeutic activities—leveraging sensory suites, woodland and garden areas, and the hydrotherapy pool • Implement trauma-informed and autism-specific strategies to build trust, support regulation, independence, and confidence Who We’re Looking For: • Experience working with children or young people with ASD, SLD, PMLD, or related contexts • Patient, adaptable, and confident in sensory-rich, therapeutic learning environments • Skilled at building trusting relationships with children and young people • Creative background or interest in arts, therapeutic approaches, sensory play, outdoor learning, or multi-sensory education is highly valued What We Offer: • A nurturing, inclusive setting with small group sizes and excellent staff-to-student sup-port • Access to state-of-the-art specialist facilities: sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pool, woodland trails, vocational café, and multi-sensory suites • A team committed to creativity, holistic development, sustainability, and compassion-ate care If you're creative, resilient, and passionate about supporting autistic and learning-disabled children through sensory, play-based, and therapeutic approaches, we'd love to hear from you.
